About MHCP USA
Plain answers for people who live in mobile and manufactured homes.
MHCP USA is run by people who own and operate manufactured home communities. Every week we see the same questions from residents: how to keep pipes from freezing, what lot rent covers, how to read a lease, and how to buy or sell a home on a rented lot.
This site is where we answer those questions for everyone, wherever you live. It isn’t a sales site for any community, and you won’t find listings here.
How we write
- Helpful first. Checklists, clear steps, and plain words.
- Honest about limits. Rules and laws change from state to state and community to community. We say so, and we point you to the official source.
- Sources for numbers. When we cite a figure or a rule, we name where it comes from and when we checked it. If we can’t source it, we don’t print it.
- Know when to call a pro. Gas, electrical, anchoring, and structural work belong with licensed professionals. We tell you when a job is one of those.
How we pick products
The shop is short on purpose. We list things we’d tell a neighbor to buy, tie each one to a guide, and leave out anything we wouldn’t use ourselves. Links to Amazon earn us a small commission at no cost to you. Read the full affiliate disclosure.
